It's going to be an amazing year! Tatyana Ali, who played the role of Ashley Banks in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, is engaged to Dr. Vaugn Rasberry, a rep confirms to Us Weekly.
"Planning our wedding has been so exciting, but when we found out we were expecting, our perspective shifted completely," Ali told Entertainment Tonight of her happy news. "We want our ceremony to really celebrate our newest blessing! Plus, I have the best wedding planner, Michael Russo. He's making everything so fun and stress-free!"
The wedding planner the couple have picked is no stranger to making stars' big days special. He's the man behind Dancing With the Stars' Witney Carson's wedding with Carson McAllister, and has also worked with Joey Fatone and Kelly Baldwin.
Ali met Rasberry, an assistant professor at Stanford University, via online dating site eHarmony. The actress revealed he was her first attempt at dating via the Internet and the pair wrote letters for months before they even Skyped.
Talking about her beau's romantic proposal, Ali told ET, "He took me on a 45-minute hike in the Redwoods [in Yosemite, California], which he knows I absolutely love. [He] proposed in the most picturesque clearing. Just the two of us. It was so thoughtful and perfect. We're best friends."
