Samson Siasia reportedly picks Mikel Obi, Ighalo and Ahmed Musa as over aged players for Rio Olympics

 

John Obi Mikel & Odion IghaloDuo named in 2016 provisional squad alongside Ahmed Musa. Three Super Eagles star, John Obi Mikel, Odion Ighalo and Ahmed Musa have named in Samson Siasia’s provisional list for the football tournament of the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

Each country are allowed to invite three players over 23 for the tournament.

For the Dream Team VI, rumours have it that Saisia has named Mikel, Ighalo and Musa.

Mikel according to Siasia has expressed his desire to play in the tournament after the coach dropped him from the squad for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

 Watford striker, Ighalo has been permission by his coach,  to play in Brazil and it is believed he will not turn down the opportunity as he missed the last edition in London due to Nigeria’s failure to qualify.

The Dream Team of Nigeria have been drawn in Group B alongside Group B Sweden, Colombia and Japan for the football tournament of 2016 Olympics in Rio, Brazil.

Nigeria will kick off their campaign on August 4 against Japan.
