Mr and Mrs Oruru (Ese's parents)
Fears have now been confirmed that the 14-year-old abducted teenager Ese Oruru who was forcefully taken to Kano State from her home in Bayelsa State by Kano State-born Yunusa, aka Yellow, converted to Islam and married is pregnant. Read more after the cut....
Confirming the news, Ese Orura’s father Mr. Charles Oruru said:
“My daughter is pregnant. Everything you read about her is true. She was raped. This is a case of rape because she is a minor. We are going to pursue this matter and the law will take its full course.
“God knows why he allowed it to happen. But we believe that it will be better at last. I don’t want to talk further now. I will talk in due cause.”
He said his daughter is still with Police Officers .
Oruru said he visited his daughter in the morning in the company of two of his five children, 16-year-old Onome and 11-year-old Lucky.
He also debunked reports which said Yunusa was his family’s domestic servant.
Yunusa was arrested in Kano and taken to the Force Headquarters, Abuja, following public outrage generated by the travails of Ese.
Police spokesman Butswat Asinim said the command would speak in due cause on the matter.
