Senator Yerima is butteressing on his recent act. Thank God other fellow muslims attest to the fact that child bride marriage is illegal. It therefore means that if child marriage is legalised, then sex with an under aged child becomes legal, even rape. Have our senators considered the consequential effect that may arise as a result of the abuse of this law? I know, that none of the supporters of this law will give thier 11, 12 yrs old daughters for marriage.

ReplyDeleteAbout ur post. I think its time the female folk young and old have a final say on matters affecting us rather than mere law or bill. Just like Stella Damascus rightly did.She is just one out of millions of women constituting at least 50% of the national population of Nigeria.
How will the nation see it if a woman propose a bill that "no woman should be allowed to marry a man above 18 years"
